Thanks Bobbie! I think you're right, there are millions of small businesses and soloprenuers out there, and all of them need a compelling pitch. The people, the technology and the economics all line up.

Speaking as one whose ideas are "out there" and "all over the map", I think you've found a valuable niche. I'll spread the word.

As an academic, I've long wondered what a 40 hour week would look like. We do 50 or 60 hours a week, easy, more when we're younger, fewer (I fondly hope) as we get older.

"Christmas and summers off" is a weird myth. That's when we read up on "our subject," or the thing we love, the thing we went into this for in the first place. And there's never enough time for that.

And as you get older you want a hobby or something. It's hard to stay insanely focused for your whole life, though a surprising number of people actually do it. But an image a day, and some sunshine on your shoulders....can that be a bad thing? Only if you have four or five courses to teach in the term, and administrative duties, and publishing to keep up with. Otherwise, no problemo.

Somebody tell Fox News that this is what it's really like. Tenured radicals actually work like hell.
